

She is survived by siblings, Roger, Clinton (Linda), Wanda, Charles (Jenny), Pat (Rick), and Matha and many nieces and nephews.
Paula was born and raised in Georgetown, South Carolina. She married the love of her life, Marvin Leo Richardson when she was 17 years old. They were married for almost was 68 years until Marvin passed away on May 18, 2021. They were blessed with their children and were wonderful parents to Paula “Diane” Lysne (Bruce), Marvin Anthony “Tony” Richardson (Carolyn), Donna Hudson (Mark), Michael Richardson, and Brenda Olenick (Mike).
Family was always at the heart of Paula’s life. She was a constant and loving presence in their lives and loved children and was happy to be blessed with many Grandchildren. Amber (Glenn), Brandon, Blake (Christina), Cameron, Natalie (Alex), Lisa (Jeff), Waylon, Paul (Bridget), Jon, Amy (Vinnie), Michael (Rachel), Mandy (Chris), Ashley, Mark, Jennifer (Russell), Jared, Tyler (Hope), Jennifer (Sharrod), and Cindy (Joel). Great-Grandchildren, Joshua, Savanna, Lincoln, Parker, Cheyenne, Madison, Emily, Aiden, Dean, Dottie, Tegan, Madeline, Julia, Claire, Nicholas, Chelsea, Vivian, Spencer, Emily, Kailey, Sharrod JR, Isaiah, Connor, Charlie, Ski, Symphony, Jillian, Logan, Mason, Dalton, and Carson.
A lifelong learner, Paula was a great example to her children by going back to school and getting her High School Diploma. She went to Real Estate School and earned her Real Estate License. She was successful for several years selling Real Estate.
Alongside Marvin, Paula was a Faithful Dedicated Servant to God at First Baptist Church of Orange Park Florida. She served in Sunday School, Preschool, Vacation Bible School, Church Choir, Ladies Choir, and volunteered in many capacities. She took piano and singing lessons and encouraged children’s creativity in the arts. She was a talented Seamstress. She loved to crochet blankets for her family. Paula was a very giving person. She was a superb cook. Her fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, and pound
cake were legendary. Her Thanksgiving Feasts were amazing.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Calhoun B. Owens and Leta Owens Parker, and two of her brothers, Pete Owens and Sonny Owens.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Please join us in the celebration of Paula’s life. The viewing will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, with service at 3:00 p.m. A light buffet will be served on the premises following the service.
