Patricia C. Kaufman

Patricia Craddock Kaufman of St. Simons Island, Georgia passed away at the age of 83 on June 28, 2022. She was born in Dadeville, Alabama on August 2, 1938. After graduating from Dadeville High School, she continued her studies at Judson College and then Auburn University. While at Auburn, she was active in the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. Upon graduation, she moved to Brunswick, Georgia to teach music and third grade in the Glynn County school system. Shortly after moving to Brunswick, she met and married John Augustus Kaufman in 1960 and they were married for over 51 years at the time of his death in 2012. Pat was very active in many social clubs and organizations, those special to her were the St. Simons Island Cotillion, garden club, bridge club, book club, and Daughters of the American Revolution. Pat was a member of the First Baptist of Brunswick.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph W. and Frances C. Craddock and husband John Augustus Kaufman. She is survived by a brother, Dr. Ralph Carr Craddock of Alexander City, Alabama, three children, John Craddock Kaufman (Juliana) of St. Simons Island, Julie Christian Kaufman of Versailles, Kentucky, and Patrick Carr Kaufman ( Jenny) of Savannah, Georgia along with seven grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Friday, July 1, 2022 between the hours of 4 - 6:00 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date.
