Patricia Alford Durant

Patricia Alford Durant, 60, of Darien, departed this life Monday, February 8, 2021 at her residence. A celebration of life gathering will take place Friday evening, February 12, 2021 from 6pm until 8 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

Born December 24, 1960 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late JW Alford and Mary Elizabeth “Suge” P. Cannon, she was a lifelong resident of McIntosh County and graduate of McIntosh Academy Class of 1978. Patricia was a sales associate with BI-LO in Darien. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, was an avid Georgia Bulldogs Fan, and loved time on the river and boating. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Alford and a granddaughter, Anniston Durant.

Survivors include two children, Trip Durant and wife Alisha of Valona, and Emily Durant and Cody of Twin City, GA, two grandchildren, Jennings Durant and Andi Durant, one sister, Lou Johnson and husband James of Fernandina Beach, FL, two brothers, Michael Alford and wife Nancy of Brunswick, and Scott Alford and wife Julia, a sister in law, Nancy Alford, several nieces and nephews and many cousins.
