Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM Friday, October 15, 2021 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery with Daniel Atwood, Danny Schmackpfeffer, Melquiades Hernandez, Craig Tutorow, Joey Wooten and CJ Fryar serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Atwood, Nicolas Fryar, and Dr. Jennifer Miller and staff.
Born October 11, 1950 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late James Everett and Evelyn Addie N. Johnson, she was a life lifelong resident of Glynn County and was a homemaker. Mrs. Smith was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, cooking, traveling, puzzles, watching the ID Channel, and taking care of others. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene “Gene” Wooten, her second husband, James Leslie “Smitty” Smith, two brothers, Raymond E. Johnson and John Wayne Johnson, two grandsons, James Everett “Bubba” Wooten and David Archer Atwood, and a great grandson, Bobby Lee Lane.
Survivors include her four children, Anthony E. Wooten and wife Jessica, Michael James Wooten and wife Cheree, Linda Tutorow and husband Craig, Mary Diane Fryar and Mike, two step children, Lynn Smith, and Louie Smith and wife Connie all of Brunswick, 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, two brothers, Woodrow J. Crosby of Port Royal, SC, James “Snuff’ Johnson and wife Wanda of Brunswick, three sisters, Betty Jo Horne and husband Danny, Susie Cross and husband Johnny, and Joann Ayala and husband Gene all of Brunswick, and many nieces and nephews.
