Nathan was born in Lake Geneva, Florida to C.J. and Sybil Blackburn Beck. He was a member of Shellman Bluff Baptist Church and worked as a maintenance mechanic for over 20 years with Kroger Food stores. In his free time, Nathan enjoyed reading and doing genealogy research. He was a master woodworker who would spend hours working on items to give away to friends and family. He constructed ink pens from a kit, bowls, lamps, clocks, anything to make others happy! Nathan also enjoyed reading books on his tablet, especially westerns. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Laura W. Robbins Beck; three daughters, Lindy Gilbert-Pryor (Gary, Anne Solomon (Ramsey), Jennifer Bellah (Mike); three grandsons, Cody Solomon (Sydney), Hunter Solomon and Jacob Solomon; a sister, Frances Cole; brothers, Jess (Jr) Beck (Georgia), Donnie Beck and Ronnie Beck (Joy) and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 5, from 2:30 to 3:30 at Shellman Bluff Baptist Church. The funeral will be at 3:30 pm with Pastor Brad Butler officiating. Active pallbearers will be Mike Bellah, Gary Pryor, Cody Solomon, Hunter Solomon, Jacob Solomon and Ramsey Solomon. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
