She leaves behind her loving husband of 68 years, Ashford F. Pearce, son Steve Pearce (Jina), granddaughters Stella Pearce and Saresa Pearce, and four great-grandchildren Tyler Chewning, Ashford Owens, Augusta Hatcher and Baby Hatcher.
Tena was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Anna McElmurray, her siblings Anna Clair, Lindy Brockway, Jamie Vansant, Buddy McElmurray, and Charles (Sandra) McElmurray.
She was a Glynn Academy graduate, Class of 1952, then spent her life alongside her husband at Homestyle Laundry, building their business. In her spare time, she dedicated herself to gardening, her loving family, and countless batches of banana pudding. Her love lives on through every sweet treat.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4PM – 6PM on Monday April 7, 2025 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick, GA.
Edo Miller and Sons have been entrusted with final arrangements.
