On December 14th, 2022 Michael Talmadge Lamb Sr. was called upon by the Lord. Michael was born in Savannah, GA at the Telfair Hospital on June 17, 1951 to Charles Talmadge Lamb and Francis Juanita Ward Lamb.
He was preceded in death by both parents and his sister Margaret “Peggy” Horton.
Michael is survived by his daughter Kellie Lamb Walker and son Michael T. Lamb Jr. He is also survived by his siblings Charles Raymond Lamb (Diana) and Patricia Lamb Vickstrom. Additionally he has several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Michael had a passionate love for the water and fishing. He was always concerned about the welfare of the water quality in the local creeks and rivers. He started his love for the water when he became a Game Warden for Glynn County in the early 70’s and then worked for Chatham County. Several years later, he went in a different direction and became an electrician. He worked in several plants across Georgia and became part of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 508, where he later retired. During his retirement he continued his passion by volunteering for local creeks and rivers to help maintain the water preservation. He also supported GreenPeace and the National Public Radio (NPR).
Our Family will have a private ceremony at a later date to spread his ashes and celebrate his life.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.edomillerandsons.com for the Lamb family.
