Mary was born in Memphis, TN, on January 30, 1962, one of seven brothers and sisters. Her mother, Shirley McKnatt was a nurse and her father, Ernest McKnatt was a bus driver. She was a gymnast and cheerleader in high school. She led a very active life. She was the youngest manager of an apartment complex in Germantown, TN. She graduated with honors from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA, with an associate’s degree in science and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She was a mortgage specialist prior to 2008 and worked as a dialysis technician and transplant coordinator in Ocilla, GA and Jacksonville, FL.
Mary loved beating her husband, Bill at golf, enjoyed the beach, and was a very good cook. She also loved her time helping at the Exchange Club of Brunswick, where she decorated the dining hall for various holidays and charity events.
Mary is survived by her two daughters, Amanda and Lauren, ten grandchildren, a brother, Billy McKnatt, of Jacksonville. FL, and a sister, Bea Miller, of Arnaudville, LA, and her husband, Bill.
A viewing and Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, Brunswick, GA.
