Mary Jeanell D. Branson, 65, of Waynesville, died Friday, June 1, 2012 at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Brunswick, with Rev. Greg Delk officiating. Inurnment will follow in Ramah Cemetery in Blackshear, Georgia.
Born January 30, 1947 in Pierce County Georgia to the late Lumby and Ollie Mae T. Durrance, she was a 1966 graduate of Glynn Academy. Mrs. Branson had lived most of her life in Glynn County and was retired from King & Prince Seafood. She had been a resident of Brantley County for the past four years. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed crochet, visiting with friends and family and especially Sunday dinner with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Phillips, and her mother and father in law, Annie M. and George M. Branson.
Survivors include her husband George M. Branson, Jr. of Waynesville, a daughter, Gloria Sellers and husband Greg of Waynesville, two sons, Scott Branson and wife Kathy of Brunswick, and James Branson and wife Chrissy of Hortense, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, ten sisters and three brothers throughout Georgia and south Carolina, stepmother, Myrtle Durrance of Brunswick, three sisters in law and one brother in law and their families, several nieces and nephews.
