Marjorie Ann Martin Bennett

Marjorie Ann Martin Bennett 62, of Brunswick passed away January 8, 2011 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems. Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday January 13, 2011 at Edo Miller and Sons funeral home. Visitation will be One Hour Prior to the service time Honorary pallbearers include Cory Bennett, Julius Rogers, Charlie Nester, Douglas Perkins, Tyler Henry, Eric Robert Stephens, Dr. Siegerberg, Dr. Barrett, Dr. William Grubb, Dr. Lee MCcaskill and the nursing staff of the CCU of Southeast Georgia Health Systems.

Ms. Bennett was born in Darien Georgia to the late Charles Wesley Martin and Jessie May Andrews Martin on March 1, 1948 but was a resident of the Brunswick area for the past thirty years. She was a graduate of Darien High School and went on to be a legal assistant at Gilbert, Harrell, Summerford, & Martin firm. Ms. Bennett was an accomplished cross-stitcher. She loved the outdoors and spending time around her pool. She was a longtime supporter of the Townsend Baptist Church. She loved her family but most of all her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Ms. Bennett was preceded in death by her husband Larry Wayne Bennett, a brother James, W.(Buddy) Martin, Brother Charles Wayne Martin, and a Sister Marilyn Marie Martin Tindale.

She was survived by her Brother Anthony W. Martin (Tony) of Darien GA, and a niece Misty Tindale Causey of Darien, a nephew James Ryan Martin of Darien Ga, six sister in laws Diane Young Martin of Darien, Joan D. Deen of Brunswick, Peggy J. Grimes of Waynesville, Virginia R. Manning of Odessa Fl, Betty S. Browning of Brunswick, Mary L Bledsoe of Athens GA, a brother in law Jack D. Bennett step son Cory W. Bennett of Thomaston GA, step daughter Wendy Bennett Stephens of St. Simons, step daughter Cynthia Lynn Bennett of Brunswick, two granddaughters Emily Erica Faith Stephens and Olivia Frances Grace Stephens of St. Simons.
