Marie Cowan, age 82, of Brunswick, died Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Marie was a native of West Virginia and had lived in Brunswick since 1996. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Joe H. Harris and Jim Cowan; a son, Thomas Harris; two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by a daughter, Joanne M. Kitchings of Brunswick; three granddaughters, Kimberly Griffith (Gary) of Augusta, GA, Melissa Ridener (David) of Brunswick and Angelina Dixon (Pete) of Wilmington, NC and four great-grandchildren, Courtney Dixon, Taylor Ridener, Landry Ridener and Alyssa Dixon.
A celebration of Marie’s life will be held today, on what would have been her 83rd birthday, at North Brunswick Christian Church at 6:00 pm with Pastor Lewis Burton officiating.
