John was an active outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Many weekends, he took his kids fishing on the Altamaha or Turtle Rivers. John also had a special love for farming. He grew amazing crops of vegetables each year which he shared with family and friends.
As a young adult, John was employed at Thompson’s Grocery. He worked many years for the Coca-Cola Company. Then, he spent 25 years of his career with PepsiCo in Brunswick.
In 1998, John’s life was changed forever by a terrible boating accident. Yet, he was still able to share his joy and love with family. Family meant everything to him.
