Jack was born on September 10, 1939 in Orange, New Jersey to the late James Lawless and Anna Madden Lawless. He graduated from Barringer High School and soon after enlisted in the US Navy where he served on active duty for 4 years. During that time he performed the duties of a crypto specialist on the Admiral’s flag ship. After his honorable discharge, he joined ITT World Comm and worked as an Engineering Group Leader for 26 years.
Jack was married for 63 years to the love of his life, his wife Nancy who he met in Bayonne NJ when asking for directions. His life was filled with love, family, and travel. There was no bucket list for them. . . They did it all! He loved Nancy, and he loved his family. He enjoyed skiing, golfing, and traveling. His greatest joy was those hobbies with family. Jack and Nancy lived the RV life for 4 years and traveled across the US seeing all it had to offer and visiting and loving on friends and family along the way. Jack always raised the bar high and set a standard for being the best you could be. He loved to compete, and he loved to win. He was known as Dr. Lawless to his grandchildren because he could fix anything.
Jack is survived by his wife Nancy and his children and niece, Jack and Shannon Lawless, Greg and Tedi Lawless (from St. Simons Island) and Ginger and Pete Zanlunghi (from Stony Point, NY).
