Jackie Taylor Corey

She was born in Carrollton, Ga on May 2, 1940 to the late Ray and Mildred Taylor of Bremen, Ga. Jackie graduated from Newnan High School and received a Bachelor’s degree from Mercer University. She worked in Mortgage Insurance for Fannie Mae and PMI Mortgage Insurance. She was a member of South Newport Baptist Church and had a passion for the Lord, her family, her church, family traditions and reading.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Veleta Alice Taylor, her son, Nick Corey and two brother in laws, Lars Hansen and Ken Korizon. She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Steven K. Corey; her children, Janet Wilson, Jinna Graves, Julianne Hope (Henderson), Joe Thompson (Katherine), Jennifer Simerson (Tom); her siblings, Judy Walden (Richard), Joy Hansen, Jill Korizon Whaley (Charles); 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at South Newport Baptist Church with Pastor Eric Grissino officiating.
