Eileen Dowdy

Eileen Graham Dowdy, 79, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 6, 2023 at SGHS Brunswick Campus. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Chris Winford officiating and Mr. Jim Jordan assisting. Interment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery with Ray Snow, Derrick Hulsey, Shane Gentry, Donald Horn, Ronnie Rowe, and Jason Rowe serving as pallbearers.

Born March 9, 1944 in Brunswick Georgia to the late Frederick A. and Ila Rosa U. Graham, she was a graduate of Glynn Academy and also attended Brunswick Beauty College. Mrs. Dowdy retired from Suntrust Bank as A.V.P. Private Banker after 31 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Brunswick where she was active in several ministries. She enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, gardening, her church, and the beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Warren.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Ken Dowdy of Brunswick, a daughter, Vickie Oliver and husband Jim of Fernandina, FL, a son, Dwayne Dowdy and wife Kristie of Hampton, GA, two grandchildren, Tony Guin and wife Stacy, Jana Brown and husband Chris, five great grandchildren, Ethan Guin, Braydon Guin, Issac Guin, McKenzie Guin, and Austin Brown, a sister-in-law Karen Rowe and husband Buford, as well as several nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all.
