Cynthia B. Beggs

Cynthia was born March 15, 1939 in Moultrie, Ga to parents Thomas and Lillian Blalock. She was a graduate of Tift County High School and the University of Georgia, where she received her Bachelor of Education. She was a Beta Sigma Phi Social Society member. She worked in the professional administrative offices for Sea Island Co. and Sea Palms Resort. She loved sewing, woodworking, quilting and being with friends and family.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband James Rudolph Beggs.

She is survived by her children Cynthia M. Jackson (Marcy), James R. Beggs, Jr (Jim) and wife Stephanie, and Mary V. Wallen (Ginger) and husband David, grandchildren Sarah Wallen, Abigail Jackson, Jeffrey Wallen, and Charlie Jackson, and one sister Patricia Mathis of Atlanta, Ga.

Graveside service will be 10:30am Monday, November 19, 2018 in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens Cemetery, St Simons Island with Dr. Felix Haynes officiating.

Visitation hours are Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 6:00 to 7:30pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
