Charles L. Howard Jr

He was born to Charles L. Howard Sr. and Elizabeth Miller on October 15, 1958 in Ludowici, GA. Charles loved to spend time with his grandchildren and loved to be out fishing. He is a lifelong resident of McIntosh County.

He is survived by one son: Charles Howard III; 3 daughters: Crystal Howard, Ashley Smith and Amy Brown; his mother: Elizabeth Miller; one sister: Karen Taggart; 9 grandchildren: Corin, Corinthians, Colby Jaleyah, Jalynn, Teo, Melanie, Tyler and Aiden; 3 nieces and nephews; 2 great nephews and several other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his father: Charles Howard, Sr. and one grandson: Colin Lucas Whitaker.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 6-8 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Crescent Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Crescent Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers include: Kenny Farmer, Eddie Taggart Sr., Eddie Poppell, Donald Gordan, Leon Howard, Lattie Jacobs, Marky Gore, and Earl Maulden. Honorary Pallbearers include: McIntosh County Shrimping Industry, Doris Marsh, Debbie Lee, and all of his doctors and caregivers.
