Bobby Vasco Sapp, 86, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2022, after a brief illness. Bobby was born on December 8, 1935 and was a lifelong native of Glynn County. Bobby graduated in 1954 from Glynn Academy and subsequently joined the Georgia Air National Guard, 224th Division, and his father’s business, leading to his lifelong career at Woodrow Sapp Well Drilling.
We announce this loss with deep sadness, but with immense pride of a life well lived. Bobby will be missed by many. He was a meticulous person and classic car enthusiast. Bobby enjoyed wood working in his shop, gardening, maintaining his lawn, and spending endless hours with his grandchildren. For the last twenty years, Bobby enjoyed time at Brunswick Floral with his wife Gail, joyfully greeting customers. He was a member of Norwich Baptist Church.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Gail Sapp, of Brunswick; son, Richard N. Sapp (Terry) and daughter, Rebecca L. King (Michael), both of Brunswick; daughter Jennifer R. Bledsoe (Jeff) of Edmonds, Oklahoma; stepson, Benjamin Bach (Candace) of Brunswick; sisters, Joan Redding (Paul) and Judy Jones, both of Brunswick, and Janice Sapp of St. Simons Island; brother, Woodrow Sapp, Jr. (Diane) of St. Simons Island; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandchildren.
Bobby was preceded in death by his first wife, Cynthia Watts Sapp; parents Woodrow Sapp, Sr. and Retha Mae Sapp; sister Jeanette Sapp Jenkins; and brothers-in-law, Billy Jones and Denny Jenkins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Edo Miller Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Palmetto Cemetery, with Reverend Daryl Joiner officiating.
