More memories than I can count of this dear, dear friend!  Miss you Billy Ray!  Heaven's new PR man.......I know Bob Robert is happy to have you there. Love you always.

Fifty two years of friendship gone by in what seems minutes.  I just can't get my head around the fact that you are gone.  I'll miss you like a brother, Bill but I will always look back on the good times we had.  I just wish I could have beaten you just once on the golf course.  Just kidding! I know the good Lord will enjoy your guitar music. Good by for now my friend, will see you up there in God's time.

I guess I was about 17 when I first met Bill, he was a great man and treated me like one of his own whether I deserved it or not. I already miss that easy smile and that sweet spirit. My condolences to his familes both by birth and the strays like me that he adopted along the way.

I knew (Papa) Bill when I was about 10 years old. He was a sweet man then and he never changed. He was my friend. He walked me down the aisle at my wedding. He was very supportive when I went through my tough times and he was there with me to share the good times. I think he "adopted" about every child he ever met. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. I can't say enough good things about him. There aren't enough words. I love you Papa Bill.

I met Daddy Bill and his family around 40 years ago. I have so many great memories with him. I can't recall a single moment when I ever heard a harsh word from him. If there were any, there was such a gentleness to it one wouldn't even notice. Loved by many and missed by many!

I can always remember Billy when he and his family would come to grannys house in Delta al. He was always a very loving and caring father. He would always take care of the little ones before he would eat anything which as a young kid, I knew he loved his family very much, and he always had a smile and a kind word for everyone he met. God bless you and all your family during this sad time and we know you will be playing that guitar for all the angels in HEAVEN!!!!!!!         (Mike and Evelyn Cheatwood)

My thoughts and prayers are with you. It seems like such a short while ago I met the gentleman who was introduced to me as "Little Abe" when I was working on the "Hee Haw Show" at Darien's Blessing of the Fleet. What a gentle person and gifted musician! 
Sadly, we all grew apart and I had not seen him in several years but I will never forget what a joy he was. 

May God's comfort sustain you today and in all the days ahead. Until we meet again, my friend.
