Barbara May Bodamer

She was born June 15, 1928 to James H McNally and Lillian (Doliber) McNally in Medford, MA. On November 24, 1966 she married Dr. Paul E Bodamer, Sr. They raised 6 children and worked side by side to help build a successful Podiatry Practice.

Barbara was crowned Miss Massachusetts/CIO in 1945 and had a beautiful singing voice. Her voice was heard for many years with the Saint Andrews Choir. She loved singing in the Choir. She worked for many years with American National Bank of Brunswick in the bookkeeping department. Barbara volunteered with the Red Cross for many years and worked in her husbands practice making sure bills were paid and books were accurate. She loved to socialize with friends by playing golf or just having lunch. Barbara and her husband loved to have get togethers with family, friends, and neighbors. Barbara and Paul were well known for their “Saint Patrick Day” party and the Midnight Mass get together with church friends every year. She is survived by her children daughter Donna Gordon, son James (Pam) Bodamer, daughter Laura (Mike) East and son Dr. Brett Allen (Debbie) Bodamer, Sr. Her grandchildren Billy Gordon, Chris Gordon, Jennifer Child, Barbara Elizabeth Watt, Brandie Bodamer Kenny, Christina Bodamer, Alexia Bodamer, Meghan (Brian) Creech, Brett Allen Bodamer, Jr., Stella Bodamer and Antonia Bodamer along with Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Grandparents, Parents, husband Dr. Paul E. Bodamer, Sr., son Lawrence Baker, son Paul E. Bodamer, Jr. and grandson Michael Dalton East.

The funeral service will be held at 11am June 26, 2021 at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church 310 Green St (Vernon Square) Darien, Ga. Interment will follow in Saint Andrews Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Edo Miller and Son Funeral Home. www.edomillerandsons.com
