She was a very loving wife, daughter, and sister. She always made a lot of friends and helped people in need. While working at UTB/TSC, she was promoted to Senior Administrator for Human Resources. While working, she got her degree in English and Spanish and became a translator. She enjoyed going to the beach and of course Louisiana Casinos. Sylvia (mine), te extrañaremos.
Mrs. Perez is preceded in death by her parents, Nestor Salinas Salinas and Felipita Lopez Salinas; sister, Sonia Ines Salinas Lopez; and her brother, Servando Hector Salinas Lopez.
Sylvia is survived by her husband, Ignacio H. Perez; brothers, Sergio Nestor (Lilia+), Saul Andres (Mari), Samuel Eduardo (Laura), and Salvador Hugo (Lety); sister in law, Lupita (Servando+); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 11:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Rosary to be conducted at 7:00p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Mass will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 2:00p.m. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (2800 Rockwell), concluding all services.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Francisco Rodriguez, Omar Rodriguez, Rafael Rodriguez, Aldo Salinas, Hector Salinas, and Luis Salinas.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be her brothers, Sergio Salinas, Saul Salinas, Samuel Salinas, Hugo Salinas, Juan Rodriguez, and cousins Herrera Lopez.
