Ramiro, or as many know him El Guero del Valle, was a well known figure in the horse racing community throughout Texas. His passion for the races began at the age of 16. It was the only fitting that his final days were spent doing what he loved most, attending his final horse race. Ramiro was a PPCD and resource teacher at BISD for over 16 years. He taught at Burns and Palm Grove Elementary. He positively impacted the lives of many students, coworkers, and staff with his charisma, generosity, and passion for helping others. This went beyond the classroom. He spread his positive light to all those he encountered. For this, his loss will be felt deeply by all those who knew and loved him.
Ramiro is survived by his spouse Briana Lynn Luna, son Ramiro Luna, daughter Bella Estrella Luna, father Rafael Luna, brother Rafael Luna Jr., sister Zoila Luna, sister Aurora Luna, sister Alicia Villarreal and sister Diana Luna Burton, stepson Victor de la Cruz, stepson Pedro de la Cruz and stepdaughter Ailynn de la Cruz.
Ramiro was preceded in death by his mother Maria Aurora Luna, brothers Rafael Luna and Raul Luna.
Ramiro Luna also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
A visitation for Ramiro will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Talk at 5:30 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd., Brownsville, Texas 78521.
