Olivia G. Castañeda

Olivia resided in Brownsville, Texas and lived life surrounded by her loving family. She loved to be in the kitchen and lived for family gatherings.

Mrs. Castañeda is preceded in death by her parents, Marcelina and Prudencio Gonzalez; husband, Felix Castañeda; two sons, Oscar Castañeda and Rolando Castañeda; two brothers, Federico Gonzalez and Gilberto Gonzalez; and her two sisters, Oralia Treviño and Ofelia Gonzalez.

Olivia is survived by her children, Oscar+ (Lupita) Castañeda, Arnulfo (Connie) Castañeda, Arnoldo Castañeda, Rolando+ (Isabel) Castañeda, Sylvia (Fred) Leyendecker, Reynaldo (Erika) Castañeda, Artemio (Norma) Castañeda, Norma Elvia (Rolando) Martinez, Robert (Norma) Castañeda, and Cesar (Margie) Castañeda; sister, Francisca Martinez; 24 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 from 1:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Rosary to be conducted at 7:00p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Mass will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10:00a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel (1055 Military Hwy.), followed by committal service at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Oscar J. Castañeda, Rolando Castañeda Jr., Ricardo Castañeda, Stephen Leyendecker, Artemio Castañeda Jr., Adrian Castañeda, and Julio Castañeda.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark Castañeda and Michael Castañeda.
