She was preceded in death by her loving parents: Manuel V. and Maria R. Torres of Brownsville, and her brothers: Juan Manuel and Rodolfo, both of California.
Left to cherish her memory is her brother Manuel and sister-in-law Imelda of San Antonio, nephews Charles Torres of Boerne, TX and Ricardo Torres and Saudi Arabia, brother Jesus and sister-in-law Erika of Alabama, sister-in-law Ursula Torres, niece Anrita Campbell and nephews Mark and Maurice Torres of California, and nephews Paul, Rudy and Daniel Torres, and niece Tina Marie Mariscal, all also of California, cousin Oralia Pool and Rosalinda Valdiviez of San Antonio and Gerardo Perez of Houston.
Carmen graduated from Brownsville High School and was a life-long residence of Brownsville, where she had many dear friends. The family wishes to thank Doctor Lorenzo Pelly, Doctor Reddy and the other Doctors, nurses and medical personal who attended to her health, and the management and nursing staffs of South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital, Solara Hospital, Bee First Hospice and Valley Grande Senior Care Center for their dedication and the excellent care provided to her.
A Rosary will be held at 10am and mass at 11am on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Saint Mary Mother of the Church, Catholic Church located on 1914 Barnard with an interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity of your choice.
