Maria Elena Garza Rodriguez, 61, passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family in Brownsville, TX.
Maria Elena Garza Rodriguez was an excellent wife, exemplary mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother and a very friendly person with all who knew her. She was able to gain peoples respect and affection by simply being around her. She was a member of “La Sagrada Familia” catholic church. Maria will be remembered always because of her loving heart that she always had towards others. She will be dearly missed by all her family and she will remain in our hearts eternally.
She is preceded in death by her father, Gilberto Garza Saenz.
Maria is survived by her loving husband, Lauriano P. Rodriguez; children, Maria Veronica Rodriguez, Laura Elena Serrato (Alberto), Luis Demetrio Rodriguez (Micaela), Martha Angelica Olivares (Marcelino) and Norma Eliza Rodriguez (Guillermo); mother, Maria Eva Treviño Garza; 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, 7 sisters and numerous other family members.
