Juan Humberto Cavazos Sr. emigrated from Mexico in the early 1940’s. An only child living with his mother, he’d go to school by day and his mother worked by night. Mr. Cavazos, a straight A-student all his life, eventually enrolled at the University Of Texas College Of Pharmacy in Austin, TX and became a registered pharmacist with honors. He served the community for over 50 years with his wife Araceli always by his side. Juan Humberto was the best father to his four children, best grandfather to his five grandchildren and a wonderful husband to his wife of 52 years. He lost his battle to cancer on Sunday, July 26, 2015 and will forever be missed for he was a beautiful and most generous human being
Mr. Cavazos is preceded in death by his parents, San Juana Aguirre Cavazos and Alfonso Cavazos.
Juan Humberto is survived by his loving wife, Araceli Moore Cavazos; four children, Johnny H. (Lorena) Cavazos Jr., Araceli (Jesus) Ojeda, Jaime H. (Teresa) Cavazos, and Javier H. Cavazos; five grandchildren, Jaime Hiram Cavazos, Jacquelin Franceli Ojeda, Justin Hunter O’Shea-Cavazos, Alejandra Isahri Cavazos, and Emily Lauryn Cavazos.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 2:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Prayer Service to be conducted at 7:00p.m. at Buena Vista Burial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation will continue Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 11:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. with Funeral Service to begin after Visitation Hours. Entombment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park Mausoleum.
