Jorge Vasquez Mejorado

Jorge was a very happy, very loving father who loved BBQ'ing, listening to his conjunto music, dancing and spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved his family, all of his family near and far. He was always in the company of good friends, many of whom he considered family as well.

Jorge is survived by his daughters Margarita Mejorado (Lorenzo), Martha Cadena (Gabriel) and Matilda Lohrman (Levi); his brothers Tomas Mejorado and Mario Mejorado; his grandchildren Raven, Johnny, Roy, Paloma, Reyna, Jorge, Lucas and Levi.

Jorge was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Consuelo Calzada Mejorado †; his mother Martina Vasquez Mejorado † and his father Juan Mejorado †; his brother Juan Mejorado Jr. †; his sister Gloria Perez †; his sister Alma Nora Mejorado † and his sister Maria Martinez †.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved all dearly.

A visitation for Jorge will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St Joseph Catholic Church, 555 W St Francis St, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

Serving as pallbearers are Roy Anthony Garza, Alfredo Bustinza, Jorge Ernesto Mejorado, Jesus Mata, Gary Mejorado and Joel Mejorado, Honorary Pallbearer will be Juan Arturo Vasquez.
