Francisca G. Casas

Francisca G. Casas, 72, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 with her family by her side in Brownsville, Texas. Francisca was a beloved wife, a loving sister, a caring mother and a nurturing grandmother & great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Sigifredo Casas; children, Apolonio (Carmen) Casas, Sigifredo (Luisa) Casas, Efrain (Maria) Casas, Cristina (Juan) Casas, Idalia (Martin) Meza, Imelda Cumpian, Alma (Augustin) Carrera, Ernesto (Janie) Casas and Irma (Mario) Rios; sisters: Maria Magdalena Ortiz, Guadalupe Olvera and Marta Garza and grandchildren: Nelda, Laura, Blanca, Brenda, Vanessa, Veronica, Jose Luis, Vanessa Marie, Martin Jr., Yesenia, Daisy, Clarissa, Antonio, Jessica, Margarita, Maria L., Angelica, Jennifer, Valeria, Augustin, Hilaria, Mario, Sigifredo, Daniela, Marisol, Karina, Abigail, Ernesto Jr., Alyssa, Milley and thirteen great- grandchildren.

Mr. Sigifredo Casas and family extend a heartfelt thank you to Paul E. Qualls, Jr. and his nursing, clerical, cafeteria, and custodial staff at Solara Hospital-Brownsville for their compassion and professionalism provided throughout her stay. Special thanks to extended family members, friends, relatives, and colleagues for all their prayers, calls, visits and words of comfort.

Visitation will be held from 8 am to 9 pm with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7pm on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

A chapel service will be held at 10 am on Sunday, October 23, 2011 with a committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
