Eliseo Cobos

Eliseo worked many years welding at the Port of Brownsville. He enjoyed fishing, baseball and dancing. He loved to teach all that he knew to the younger generation. Many learned how to dance and fish because of him.

Eliseo is survived by his wife, Esperanza Buitron Cobos; his son Eliseo Cobos Jr. (Pilar); and his daughter Ana Gasca (Juan); his brother Santiago Cobos and his sister Alma Pineda (Juan Miguel); his grandchildren Louette, Juan D. Jr., Alexis, Alexander and Victoria.

Eliseo was preceded in death by his mother Maria Del Refugio Cobos †; his sister Maria Eugenia Rippsteine † and his brother Jesus Cobos †.

He also survived by six great grandchildren.

A visitation for Eliseo will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1218 E Jefferson, Brownsville, Texas 78520. Followed by a burial at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

Serving as pallbearers are Eduardo Martinez, Santos Garza III, Juan Miguel Pineda Jr., Juan D. Gasca Jr., Fermin Alejos Jr., Guadalupe Alberto Moran.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Pascual Espinoza, Agustin Gonzalez and Marco Salas .
