Alfredo Gonzalez

Alfredo was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Alfredo worked for Coca-Cola for 27 years and he retired in early 2000.

His favorite pastimes were spending quality time with his precious grandchildren, enjoying the outdoors, washing his truck, playing his accordion, and watching music videos. Alfredo will always be remembered for his way of loving, caring and for his strong personality.

He was a dedicated individual who had hardworking ethics and a genuinely honest man.

Alfredo was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known him.

He was preceded in death by his Father: Jose Gonzalez de la Rosa, Mother: Carlota Vega Gonzalez, Sister: Catalina Rodriguez, Brothers: Jose Gonzalez “Pepe” and Ramiro Gonzalez, Nephew: Javier Gonzalez

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years Mary Gonzalez

Sons: Alfredo (Laura) and Sergio (Sandra), 6 grandchildren; Brothers: Juan Gonzalez (Maria), Carlos Gonzalez (Aracely), Manuel Gonzalez (Ester), Sister: Elsa Gonzalez, Brother-in-law, Alvaro Rodriguez (Catalina+); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, the 10th of February 2021. Visiting hours will begin at one o’clock in the afternoon. A Chapel Service will be held at seven in the evening with entombment services to follow Thursday, the 11th of February 2021 at Buena Vista Burial Cemetary, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Please be mindful of current cemetery restrictions and guidelines.
