Abel Bella, 84 of Brownsville Texas passed away on Wednesday October 4, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. He was 84 years old. Abel was born on June 21, 1933, in Brownsville Texas where he lived all of his life. He served in the Armed Forces from 1954 to 1956. He was also in the shrimping industry for over 40 years in Port Isabel and the Port of Brownsville and owned his own shrimp boat for many years. Abel enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his favorite Cowboys football team play.
Preceded in death by his parents; Ricardo and Josefa Bella and sister; Olga Bella. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years , Alicia Rodriguez Bella, sons; Abel Jr (Liz) from La Porte Tx, Daniel from Brownsville, Ismael (Nelda) from San Antonio, daughters; Norma Abete (Lupe) from Brownsville, Rosie Hinojosa (Mauricio) from McAllen, Enedina Bella from San Antonio, brothers; Ruben Bella, Ricardo Bella, and Agapito Bella, and his sister; Guadalupe Bella, 16 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 4pm to 9pm, with the Rosary at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Chapel service will be held on Saturday October 7, 2017 at 11am and all services will conclude at that time.
