

He was born September 24, 1947 in Tampa, Florida and has been a lifelong resident of Floral City, Florida. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor for the Citrus County Sheriff’s Department. He was a member of Gulf Ridge Baptist Church, the VFW, and participated and helped run Bull Pen Pullers of Citrus County.
He is survived by his loving wife: Judith Adkins; son: William Kilgore of Orlando, Florida; daughter: Malia Kilgore of Inverness, Florida; stepsons: Larry McKinnon of Mechanicsville, Virginia, David McKinnon of Columbus, Ohio; stepdaughter: Kimberly Spicer of King William, Virginia; grandchildren: Ean Kilgore and Sophia Kilgore; step grandchildren: Josh, Nathan, Elijah, Clay, Ellen; step great-grandchild: Gracie.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held at 12:00pm-1:00pm, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where funeral services will begin at 1:00pm, with Reverend Mike D’Ambrosio officiating.
