Richard "Rick" Gilbert Stapleton

Rick was born on November 29, 1952 in Covington, Kentucky to Clare Dameron and Richard P. Stapleton. He graduated at 16 from Newport Catholic High School, obtained his Associate’s Degree from Northern Kentucky University, became a dad for the first time in 1974, stopped smoking in May 01, 2010, had many perfect 300 bowling games, was a tournament pool player, and obtained his pilot’s license.

Rick is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gilbert & Blanche Trimbur; his mom, Clare Dameron; his dad, Paul Dameron; his dad, Richard P. Stapleton; son, Richard J. Stapleton, niece, Ashley Gay; and great-grandchildren, Mars & Timothy Howard.

Rick is survived by his daughter, Rachel Wall; son and daughter-in-law, Adam & Kellie Jo Stapleton, son and daughter-in-law, Guy & Lori Ollier, son and daughter-in-law, Jason & Lindsay Ollier; daughter, Michele Stapleton; grandkids, Tyler, Alex & Trevor Ollier, Owen, Olilvia, & O’Riley Wall, Hunter & Haliegh Stapleton, Trent Ollier, Alexis Giarratana, Nathan Stapleton, and Newton Howard; great-grandson, Dustin Howard; siblings, Peggy Stapleton, Linda Gay, Eric Dameron, Mike Stapleton, Johnny Dameron, and Paula Dameron; nieces, Jackie & Claire Dameron; and nephews, Michael & Trevor Dameron.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00-3:00pm, Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Merritt Funeral Home (2 South Lemon Avenue, Brooksville FL 34601), where Funeral Services begin at 3:00pm.

A catered reception will follow.
