Michael Lee Hinson

He was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on April 2, 1954. Mike married the love of his life, Jeri Sue Bowen, on July 15, 1986. Jeri lives in Brooksville, Florida.

Mike was a warehouse manager for over 40 years in the plumbing and heating industry. He worked for Jim’s Pay and Save in Circleville, Ohio, Carr Supply and Habegger Corp. in Chillicothe, Ohio, and Robertson Heating and Cooling in Lancaster. He retired from Madru Supply in Chillicothe, Ohio in 2016 before moving to Florida.

Mike was a 32 degree Noble of the Mystic Shine of North America in Columbus, Ohio, a member of the Grand Lodge #23 in Circleville, Ohio of the Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio. Mike was an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. He was Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 484. Eight young men became Eagles under his leadership. He served as secretary for two terms for Countryside Estates ROC in Brooksville, Florida.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. and Ivy A. (Saltz) Hinson; his brother, Robert E. Hinson; and his grandson, Justin Puckett. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeri Sue Hinson; two daughters and son-in-law, Angie N. and Larry Puckett of Londonderry, Ohio and Michele Lamb (her special friend, Rodney Malone) of McArthur, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Bocephus and Mariah (Donoso) Hinson of Pensacola, Florida. Mike was called “Funny Papaw” by his nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He has a sister and brother-in-law, Carol A. and Dan Allen of Chillicothe, Ohio who survive.

A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.

“The world lost a great man. Full of jokes, laughter, hugs, cakes, and cookies too.” He always got cake from anyone who was having a party. He will be greatly missed by friends, neighbors, family, and especially Jeri Sue.
