He was born May 13, 1934, in Comstock Park, Michigan to Alan and Frances (Bartholomew) Miller. Lawrence relocated to Florida 17 years ago from New York. He and his wife moved to Spring Hill, Florida 6 and a half years ago from North Port, Florida and made it their home. Lawrence served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, as a Sergeant. He worked in the felt manufacturing industry as a Supervisor for Lockport Felt Company in New Fane, New York. Lawrence was a member of the 10209 VFW in Spring Hill, Florida, of the American Legion-High Point, and of the American Cribbage Congress in North Port, Florida. He even spent his time as a volunteer firefighter in his earlier years. Lawrence was Lutheran by faith and a member of the Forest Oaks Lutheran Church.
Lawrence is preceded in death by his father: Alan Curtis Miller; mother: Frances Bartholomew; son-in-law: Daniel Fritton; brother: Carl Miller; sister: Ilene Nelson. Survivors include his loving wife: Norma J. Miller, of Spring Hill, Florida; daughter: Vickie Fritton, of Spring Hill, Florida; brother and sister-in-law: Roger and Robbin Miller, of Leroy, Michigan; brother-in-law: Lawrence Nelson, of Bristol; sister: Nancy Eastway, of Cadillac, Michigan; grandchildren: Jarrod (Kim) Fritton, Joel (Maria) Fritton, Ryan (Tina) Fritton; great-grandchildren: Collin, McKenna, Addison, Ashton, Alina, and Joel Jr. Fritton
