Born September 18, 1945 in Portland, Maine, he was the son of the late Hubert Cummins & George Bennett Sr. and Patricia Monaghan. Bud graduated from Lewiston High School, Class of 1965. Following graduation, he served in the US Army serving in the Vietnam War, earning the Purple Heart. Bud worked several jobs until he started his own business, Busy Beaver Chimney, Roofing and Siding.
Buds hobbies included Dancing at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston, on Sunday nights with family and friends, winning many contests. He was a member of the American Legion. He loved Bouncing at the Centre’ville Club, and many others on Lisbon St. Lewiston, Maine. He loved his dogs like children.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Bennett, George Bennett Sr., & Hubert Cummins; his brother, George Bennett Jr. aka Skip, his brother-in-law, Donald Jacobs; his three wives, Patsy Cummins, Gladys Cummins, and Patricia Cummins. He is survived by Tammy & Edward White of Spring Hill, Florida, Billy& Paula Cummins of Winthrop, Maine, Larry Cummins of Lewiston, Maine, Bobby & Pauline Cummins of Livermore Falls, Maine, Buddy Cummins & Treasa Strunk of Almont, Michigan, Toby Cummins of Litchfield, Maine, Sheila Davis of Livermore Falls, Maine, Melinda Frechette of Sabattus, Maine; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in Maine at a later date. The family suggests memorials to his favorite Charity: Disabled Veterans of America.
