She was born August 5, 1932 in Bronx, New York and came to this area 26 years ago from Port Jefferson Station, Long Island, New York. She was a bus driver for the local School District, a member of the Grumman Retiree Club and a member of St, Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years: Henry Mehl; sons and daughter-in-law: Frederick R. & JoAnne Mehl of Jacksonville, Florida, Henry M. Mehl of Pensacola, Florida and Michael Mehl of Fredricksburg, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law: Linda J. Kauffmann of Spring Hill, Florida and Patricia A. & Christopher Bernhardt of Brooksville, Florida; sister: Sister Karen Ridenour of LaFollette, Tennessee; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel, where Funeral Services will take place at 11:00am, Thursday, August 2, 2018, with Reverend Lance Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
