He was born November 3, 1960 in St. Petersburg, Florida and was a lifelong resident of Brooksville. Jimmy worked in banking for 39 years, beginning at Hernando State Bank in 1980 and ending at Centennial Bank. He served in Kiwanis, Rotary, the Pasco County Fair Association along with various boards and committees at church. He loved to travel with friends and family. He hiked parts of the Appalachian trial, organized "Hairy Man" trips with life long buddies and enjoyed bicycling. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Brooksville.
He is survived by his loving wife, Charleen; daughters, Amanda Perrone of Brooksville, Jamie Lewis of Brooksville, Rebecca Lynn Berg of Royston, Georgia, and Carlee Mei Berg of Brooksville; parents, Donald and Barbara Berg of Brooksville; brother, John Berg of Brooksville; sister, Donna Kline of Weeki Wachee, Florida; and four grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, February 8, 2020 at First United Methodist of Brooksville, with Reverend Carlton Ellison and Pastor Edd Denton officiating.
