He was born April 9, 1948 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and came to Spring Hill nine years ago from New York. He was a chef with MetLife Insurance Company and Catholic by faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Juan Gonzalez and Lydia Diaz, brother, John Gonzalez and sister, Nilsa Grimes. He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Marta M. Gonzalez; son: George A. Gonzalez Jr. of New York; daughter: Vanessa Lopez of Spring Hill, Florida; brother: Carmello Gonzalez of New York; sisters: Lydia Gonzalez, Monin Garcia and Luz Gonzalez; five grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Isaias, George III, Kadynce and Blake and one great-grandchild: Rumor.
