Carleen C. Bailey

BAILEY, Carleen Carlton, age 80 of Brooksville, FL went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 28, 2015.  Born in Tampa, FL she came here 8 years ago from Bushnell, FL.  She was a home maker and member of Community Bible Church of Brooksville. Carleen loved to travel, was active in Women's Aglow ministries, church music and a member of the board of directors of Bread for Children International. She was a kindergarten teacher for several years.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Benjamin F. Bailey.  Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law:  Clifford W. & Lori Bailey of Greenville, SC and William B. & Sharon Bailey of Brooksville, FL; daughter and son-in-law: Darlene & Charlie Hamitter of Bryan, TX; sisters: Gerri Lee Moore of Deland, FL and Raynell Newberry of Arcadia, FL; 8 grandchildren: John, Ben, Dan, Bryce, Alyssa, Will, Emelia & Hanna; and 6 great grandchildren: Eliana, Evie, Ember, Lorelai, Dan and Aiden.  Visitation for friends will be 11am – 1pm, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where funeral services will begin at 1:00pm with Reverend Jim Moore of Community Bible Church, Brooksville, officiating.  Interment at Florida National Cemetery will remain private.
