Thomas J. Rizzo was a retired Lieutenant of the FDNY after 20 years of service in Brooklyn, NY. He was also a US Army Veteran, discharged on October 25, War World II. He served an Aviation Mechanic and Propeller Specialist.
Thomas was born July 10, 1923 in Brooklyn where he lived and died on June 16, 2023 at home. Thomas was married to Marie Rizzo who died on January 19, 2019. Thomas is survived by his brother Daniel (Danny) Rizzo. Predeceased by his siblings Joseph Rizzo, Peter Rizzo, Marie Rizzo Rinaldi, and Charles Rizzo. His deceased parents were Charles and Lucy Gurrera Rizzo. Thomas was the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Thomas loved the many years he summered at Masten Lake, New York where he loved to garden, fish and enjoy the peaceful life in the Catskill Mountains.
