Roberta Siegel

Devoted mother of Matthew Siegel and his wife Amy, and Stephen Siegel and his wife Jennifer. Cherished grandmother of Rachel, Jason, and Andy Siegel. Loving sister of Maury Wolff and his wife Bernadette. Beloved aunt of Jessica, Marc, and Leah.

Roberta was raised in Winnetka, IL, by her parents John and Melba where she attended New Trier High School. She enjoyed many summers as a dance student at the Interlochen Center for the Arts before enrolling at the University of Michigan as a music major where she played the string bass in the UM Orchestra.

She married Daniel G. Siegel (deceased) in 1960, before moving to Weston in 1961, where she fostered her love of the arts by her work at the Weston Drama Workshop, Concord Community Orchestra, the Weston High School Music Department, the Brandeis University Orchestra and ultimately as the Director of Listener Services at WCRB Radio.

She was a passionate photographer and enjoyed taking pictures of Weston High School athletics, for which she rode many a team bus, and the beauty of nature. In addition, she donated her time and resources to medical research, including but not limited to Boston Children’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and the Mass. Eye and Ear Infirmary.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 21, at 11:30 a.m. at Congregation B’nai Torah, 225 Boston Post Rd., Sudbury, MA. Interment to follow at Linwood Cemetery, Weston, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Roberta’s memory may be made to any of the above medical research institutions or the charity of your choice.
