Phyllis J. Levin of Plymouth, MA formerly of Norwell, MA on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the age of 95. For 67 years, she was the beloved wife of the late Fred N. Levin. Loving daughter of the late Marion Story. Devoted cousin of the late Marilyn Forti. Loving mother of Jonathan Paul Levin and Alyson Mona Cuttle and her husband Stephen Michael Cuttle. Adored grandmother to Wilson Prescott Cuttle and Sydney Archard Cuttle.
Phyllis was a dedicated wife, daughter, cousin, mother, grandmother (Nanny), and homemaker as well a dog lover. She enjoyed nothing more than serving one of her delicious homemade beef stews, Thanksgiving Turkeys with homemade stuffing and gravy, or her famous toll house cookies the size of saucer plates. Those cookies were always the showstopper hit at every family function and Scituate harbor dock party and will be missed as much as Phyllis herself. She was a gifted seamstress making many of her own clothes and even her daughter Alyson’s beautiful wedding gown. Phyllis was a confirmed boat “nut” enjoying nothing more than being on her boat in scenic Scituate harbor every season from the early Spring to late Fall. Phyllis and Fred were a fixture of the Scituate boat scene for several decades and introduced that world to not only her children but also her son in law and grandchildren. She graciously and generously gave up her role of ‘First mate’ to her grandson Wilson when he came of age, agreeing to be part of the ‘crew’ with her granddaughter, Sydney. Phyllis was also a lady of fashion always wearing her large hats on every occasion and her large Jackie O sunglasses. Her loving personality and pealing laughter will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will take place at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 20 at Lindwood Memorial Park, 497 North Street, Randolph, MA 02368.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis’s memory may be made to the MSPCA-Angell society, www.mspca.org
