Paul leaves his wife of 55 years, Patricia (Braen) Riseman of Wayland, his children Dennis and his wife Leah (Rickett) Riseman of Brookline NH, and Seth Riseman and his husband Iván Espinoza-Madrigal of Boston, and his grandchildren Hannah, Abigail, and Sarah Riseman.
Born in Boston, MA on April 17, 1941, he was the son of the late Dr. Benjamin and Mrs. Lilian (Sibulkin) Riseman and brother of the late Jay Riseman. He was raised in Dorchester and Brookline, MA. He graduated Class of ’58 from Brookline High School, and Class of ’62 from Bowdoin College. After serving in the Air Force Reserve, he began a career in insurance with integrity and a deep commitment to serving his clients. He married his beloved Patricia Joy Braen on June 25, 1967. Together, they made their home in Wayland where they raised their family. He was the most loving, kind, nurturing, proud and involved father, grandfather, cousin, and friend that his family and friends could have asked for. He never missed a parent-teacher conference, a soccer game, a dance recital, a meal, or a chance to tell his family how much he loved them. He and Pat cultivated not only beautiful houses and gardens together, but a welcoming and warm home for all.
Services will be held Wednesday December 14 at 10am at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline. Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Old Sudbury Road (Rte 27) in Wayland. Following the burial, friends and family are invited to gather at 8 Lakespur in Wayland on Wednesday December 14 until to 6pm, and on Thursday December 15 between 2pm and 6pm.
