Lydia Rae (Shoreman) Larkin, age 74, of Marlborough, Massachusetts passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, following a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Born in Cambridge, Lydia grew up in the greater Boston area, graduating from Belmont High School in 1967. She lived for many years in Waltham and Randolph. In her youth, she enjoyed skiing, swimming, and was particularly adept at the hula hoop. She was a Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Throughout her life she loved spending time with family. She was an animal lover with a particular fondness for dogs. She was always very civic-minded, forever the active and registered voter who valued diversity, equal rights and inclusivity.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Jennifer Larkin, of Burbank, California; her brother, Robert Shoreman, of Georgia; her sister-in-law, Maureen Larkin Johnson, of Boylston, MA., her brother-in-law Steve Johnson of Stow, MA., and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Pearl (Langer) and Eli Shoreman. A graveside service for Lydia was held Sunday, January 22, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Chevra Kadusha of Boston Cemetery, 19 Washington Street, Woburn, MA.
