Mr. Loeffler founded Loeffler-MacConkey, Inc., an industrial design and mechanical engineering firm in 1980. Working with his staff of professional designers, he developed new products in the medical, industrial, and consumer product fields. He has received nearly 80 patents.
Prior to founding Loeffler MacConkey, Mr. Loeffler was a senior staff engineer at Arthur D. Little, Inc., where he designed numerous products, including medical and personal care products.
He also worked as a designer at Raymond Loewy/William Snaith, Inc. in New York City, working on the aesthetic and mechanical design of a number of consumer products.
Mr. Loeffler studied mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received a BS in industrial design from Pratt Institute in New York City.
He is survived by his wife, Shayna, and son Evan, and daughter Margo.
