My sincere condolences to the Rosen family.  I first knew Harold when he was my son Steven's guidance counselor.A few years later he was my boss It was always very evident that he was a caring and kind man.  He was so helpful in guiding my son.  Now I could see it in the way he guided the whole school. Gently yet professionally. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to work for such a great human being

By accidental encounter with Joanne and Mark in the corridor of MWMC a few weeks ago, I learned Harold was hospitalized.   Joanne invited me to stop in and visit.

We had a wonderful trip down memory lane sharing experiences of the "old school."    He was alert, laughing, and loved sharing memories.  

Harold was a blessing to all who knew him with his special kindness and concern for his staff and the students at NHS.   What a wonderful mentor....he truly made a lasting impression on all those he touched.

My deepest condolences to the Rosen family.  Harold was my teacher in junior high school as well in high school.  In addition he and my late cousin Rocco Tortorella were the closest of friends in their young adult/college years. To The Rosen family--My deepest condolences to you and your family on the loss of your dad. My sympathy and prayers are with all of you, hold on to the memories. He was a very nice man and kind to all of us at the High School.

I was very saddened by the news that Harold Rosen, one of my most favorite people in the whole world, has left this earth of tears. Harold and I were Natick High School graduates class of 1943. If every young person in America today had Harold's kindness, compassion and charm, this nation wouldn't have a thing in the world to worry about. Harold was warm and friendly to everybody; I know for sure that everybody in Natick High liked Harold. How can one not like a genuine human being?

Dear Joanne, Mark, David and your famalies -- Your father and mother were very close friends. We remember well the many trips we took together to Principals Conferences over the years.  We particularly enjoyed our trip to England, Hawaii, and a Carabien Cruise. We have many fond memories. Your dad was a GREAT EDUCATOR. He truly loved his students. Harold was a very special man .  He was my son's guidance counselor and my  boss.    He was great in both roles.   I am sure he will be missed by many people who loved him and admired him.

Dear Joanne, Mark, and David and your families,

I don't know if you'll remember me; but your dad and mother were very good and dear friends.  I first came to teach at NHS in 1964; your dad was the head of the Guidance Dept. then.  We became friends very quickly and your dad quickly became not only my friend but my mentor as well.  When I taught evening classes (after a long day of regular classes),  Hal and Charlotte insisted I come to the house for dinner every week.  We became family.  They were at our wedding and our daughter Linda's Bat Mitzvah (in Sharon).  In fact, Joanne, Charlotte was ill and you were your dad's date that day.  We supported each other in good times and bad and helped each other through some frightening and difficult times.  Hal was a gentleman and Charlotte, a lady.  I will miss them both; they will always be in our hearts.  Be strong; be well.  Our thoughts are with all of you.

My first recollection of mr Rosen was that he was the nice vice principal. I also found out he was the one that everyone liked...too nice to be a principal. He was the first person I can remember that had that much authority in the school system and he was Jewish. I was very proud of that.
Mostly I remember him being a friend of my family, especially my dad.  They each truly respected and liked one another.  I guess they feel like we can take care of ourselves now, they have done their jobs and they can go off to a different place.  I have news for you Mr. Rosen, I would rather be sitting in one of your detentions and get to have you and dad back.
Your memory will be a blessing for this I know is true.
