William L. Blackwell

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Blackwell served as associate pastor of Nashville First Baptist Church for many years.

He was also a professor of history, and enjoyed collecting Southwestern Art.

He is survived by his daughter Lauren Blackwell (Diane Brewer), and son Lloyd (Jodi) Blackwell,

Grandchildren Brook Blackwell and Autum Blackwell, sister Kathryn Sanders and brother Eldred Blackwell, many nieces, nephews and a large extended family.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years Muriel F. Blackwell.

Visitation Friday March 2nd, 2018 from four until eight o’clock in the evening at Brentwood Roesch Patton Funeral Home. Second visitation Saturday March 3rd, 2018 from ten until eleven o’clock in the morning at Nashville First Baptist Church 108 7th Ave South Nashville. Funeral will begin at eleven o’clock in the morning at Church, Burial following at Williamson Memorial.
