Martha Goodpasture

Martha was a dedicated and compassionate physical therapist who spent many years helping others live fuller, healthier lives. She graduated from Hillsboro High School and went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University. Martha had a long and fulfilling career, working at the Vanderbilt Physical Therapy Department and later at Baptist Home Health. Her career was marked by her commitment to the well-being of her patients and an unwavering kindness that left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

In addition to her professional achievements, Martha was passionate about animals. She loved horses, dogs, cats, and all creatures great and small. Her compassion extended beyond her patients to the animals she cared for deeply.

Martha is survived by her sisters, Ann Goodpasture and Sally Duke; sister-in-law, Gisela Goodpasture; nephews, John Goodpasture and Victor Goodpasture; and nieces, Alex Reilly, Sally Schroeder, Linda Trant, Julie McGlynn and Katie Duke. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Albert Goodpasture.

A funeral service to celebrate Martha’s life will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, located at 9010 Church St E, Brentwood, TN 37027. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN.

Martha will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of working with her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
