He is preceded in death by his father A. Ray Williamson and father-in-law, Harrison M. Love, Jr.
He is survived by his mother Elynor S. Williamson, his wife of 25 years Beth L. Williamson; children Amy, Ben, Seth (Victoria), and Matt Williamson and Sara (Brian) Hambrick; grandchildren Lainey, Jordan, Luke, John Taylor and Nora; brother Randall (Shirley) and sister Vicki Williamson; mother-in-law Elizabeth Love, sisters-in-law Emily L. Carter (Dee) and Loretta L. Spears. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Alan was a Senior Vice President at Renasant Bank. He was a proud graduate of Hillsboro High School and David Lipscomb College. He was also a graduate of LSU and Oklahoma Banking school. Alan was extremely active in his community serving on various civic groups such as American Cancer Association, Greenhills YMCA, Jr. and Nashville Chamber Commerce. He took great joy in his children’s sports and activities. They were his greatest love. He was a member of Brentwood United Methodist Church.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at one o’clock on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Brentwood United Methodist Church. There will be a one hour visitation prior to the service.
Visitation will be held from four to eight in the evening on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Brentwood Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
Honorary Pallbearers are Steve Brown, Joel Wilson, Joel White, Jay Brassfield, Larry Lovelace, Bill Hammond, Harper Gaston, Steve Lapidus, Steve Beesley and Jeff Wharton. Eulogy will be given by Walter Wallace and David Bethurum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Alive Hospice- Nashville or the American Cancer Society.
